Trusted partner

When it comes to delivering and maintaining its hospitals, surgeries and clinics, the DHD needs to be able to work with partners who understand its aims and aspirations are and how these can be achieved better, faster and smarter.

As a top-three health contractor DHD is one of few companies to have been on the Department of Health and Social Care’s ProCure frameworks consistently for the past 15 years, working on projects from inception to occupancy.

Our dedicated team of health infrastructure experts have extensive expertise in working with the DHD and understanding its procurement frameworks, this collaborative approach has seen us deliver more than 200 projects over the last 15 years. We know that cost is always an issue, we understand the clinical side and always take the time to be fully aware of what clinical activity a facility will be used for and how it fits in with the rest of the healthcare service. We work with teams of architects and engineers with equal experience and sit on DHD Strategic boards, giving us a unique position to respond to new polices and trend.

Working in live environments

Our scope of work ranges from a $1m ward refurbishments up to a master planning strategic estates, and we have a particular expertise working in live environments. A well-planned delivery strategy is at the forefront of what we do, starting at the pre-construction phase so the clinical teams have the confidence that there will be no issues, such as loss of power, which in a hospital setting could have tragic consequences.

Innovation is fundamental to the success of our healthcare projects, it is encouraged, tracked, captured and managed through our regional healthcare hubs. We ulitise a range of modern construction methods in our design and management of health projects. Each construction design has a mandatory requirement of being managed to BIM Level 2. We also innovate in offsite build, where parts of a build are designed, planned, manufactured and pre-assembled off-site.
